The River Roost Inn
The River Roost Inn overlooks the beautiful New River in Galax, Virginia. Located in the heart of Bluegrass country
in the southwest Virginia mountains, it offers the most discerning visitor a blend of beautiful antiques with modern
decor. The spacious 1000 square foot suite rests on 32 beautiful wooded acres with direct access to the New River.
The River Roost boasts spectacular views of the river and surrounding mountains, while only minutes from downtown
Galax with all of its small town charm and shopping.
The River Roost is just 2 miles from the New River Trail and 7 miles from the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, offering scenic byways for the walker or rider. For the outdoorsman there are many activities- fishing, canoeing, rafting, hunting, biking to name a few. If shopping is your passion downtown Galax has both antique shops and specialty stores with items to please anyone. The local musicians offer many opportunities to get the real flavor of the community with their talented old-time music. There are festivals offered during the spring, summer,and fall throughout the community to set your feet to tapping and your hands a-clapping.
